Can I bring guests to the ceremony?

Admission to the Senate House is by ticket only.

As of 29th April, 2022 the University has confirmed that guests will be allowed into the Senate House to watch the conferment of degrees.

Please note that your guests are required to enter the Senate House before the formal beginning of the Congregation. 

How many guest tickets can I apply for?

All students are allowed a maximum of 2 guests tickets for the ceremony in the Senate House.

MA students: you may apply for a maximum of 2 guests tickets.

How do I apply for guest tickets?

Applications are made when signing up via CamSIS.

How much do guest tickets cost?

You and your guests are invited to join the Master and the Praelector for lunch or afternoon tea before the ceremony, depending on the timetable for the day. Whilst there is no charge made to you for the meal, you must pay for your guests. The charge for the meal will vary according to the timetable and what is served. Payment must be completed before the ceremony.

Details of guest charges will be supplied by the Tutorial Office before the ceremony.

Can I apply for extra tickets?

You will be advised about extra tickets no earlier than 10 days before the Congregation.

Is the Senate House wheelchair accessible?

Yes, access is provided for wheelchairs and prams.
